Your Google account (Calendar)
Where it stands today
In Connected accounts, Google sits under Coming soon: ask the Ipsion team if you need it sooner. Once Sign in with Google is open for your account, it works as this page describes.

What we ask Google for
Read-only access to your Google Calendar, plus your Google address so you can see which account is connected. Nothing else: not your Gmail, not your Drive, and no permission to create or change calendar events.
Where it is kept
Google gives your server a key for your account, never your Google password. The key is kept encrypted in the saved logins and keys on your own Ipsion server. It is never shown in chat, and your agents never see it: they ask your server, and your server reads your calendar for them.
Who can see it
- Your agents, to do what you ask, including tasks you schedule. Every agent on your server can use it, not just one.
- The AI model that runs your agent gets the messages or events it needs to answer you. Your Google data is never used to train AI.
- Ipsion staff can access your server to run and secure it, but don't read your Google data except in the cases listed in our privacy policy, such as when you ask us to for a support request.
Start small, then widen
Move to the next step only once your agents have done well on the one before.
- A separate mailbox first. Make a Gmail account just for your agents, for example ops@yourcompany.com. Open the browser view, press Take over, sign in to that mailbox on gmail.com, then press Hand back. Your agents can read, write and send from it, never from your own Gmail.
- Read your calendar. Connect Google with Sign in with Google in Connected accounts. Your agents can now read your Google Calendar, read only. Connecting Google does not give them your own Gmail.
- Drafts. Paste a message into the chat and ask your agent to draft a reply. You read it, copy it and send it yourself.
- Replies on their own. Ipsion does not send from your own Gmail. If you want an agent to answer mail by itself, it does so from the separate mailbox in step 1.
Don't sign in to your own Google account in the shared browser. That gives your agents your whole Google account, Drive and sending included, not the read-only access above.
How to disconnect
- At Google, any time: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, pick Ipsion and remove its access.
- In the console: in Connected accounts, press Disconnect on the Google card. This ends the access at Google and removes the key from your server.
- A mailbox signed in on the browser: sign out of it in the browser view, or press Remove all saved logins and keys, which also signs the shared browser out of every site.
